My own dad passed away very recently and had lots in common with our good old Mr Cuthbert, including his thoughtfulness and generosity (although not as bashful). When I think of Anne's reaction to his sudden death, I know just where she's coming from.
About the Emily books, I think I've challenged myself to have another read of them too.Paula Vincehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02079952414990463270noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8533677737021490096.post-29114258724937701162017-02-24T13:02:05.062+11:002017-02-24T13:02:05.062+11:00I've only read the Anne books. I do cry EVERY time I read of Matthew's death (not to mention end up a blithering mess when watching the DVD). I adore the way Matthew challenges Marilla for puff sleeves!
So my pick is definitely Mr Cuthbert!Di Rileyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01288915294738813579noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8533677737021490096.post-50141162724691395722017-02-24T09:57:42.121+11:002017-02-24T09:57:42.121+11:00Yeah, Walter!
