In other cases it's the girls who had to undergo the extra development (Harriet, Mary B, Kitty, Anne) In each case it was somebody, and we readers love being taken along for the ride. I hope you find some time to enjoy yourself tomorrow too ❤Paula Vincehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02079952414990463270noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8533677737021490096.post-8602103213057188742020-02-13T11:43:31.969+11:002020-02-13T11:43:31.969+11:00Bahahahahaha yes! I worry, as you mention, that it could be perceived as a kind of "don't take no for an answer" message, when really I like to think of it as a "be better" message - almost all of these men, and their paramours, had to do more work on themselves and evolve as individuals before they were ready to enter into a lifelong commitment. Happy Valentine's Day Paula, sending you some love! ;) Sheree @ Keeping Up With The Penguinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09387035714160789080noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8533677737021490096.post-22023309074252353112020-02-12T15:49:54.627+11:002020-02-12T15:49:54.627+11:00Hi Carol, those two surely proved themselves the s...Hi Carol, those two surely proved themselves the staunchest friends through thick and thin, when they thought there was nothing in it for them. I remember my mother reading Love in the Time of Cholera, and talking about the plot. She recommended it too 👍Paula Vincehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02079952414990463270noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8533677737021490096.post-90897358533722938172020-02-12T06:39:59.431+11:002020-02-12T06:39:59.431+11:00In Gabriel García Márquez’s Love in the Time of Ch...In Gabriel García Márquez’s Love in the Time of Cholera, Florentino Ariza waits over 50 years to marry the woman that he falls in love with. That is the main plot of the book. It was a pretty amazing read.Brian Josephhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15139559400312336791noreply@blogger.com
